✅ Trainees will get globally competitive skills
✅ Bridges the gap between classroom knowledge and industry demandsOgamba said this policy will give students skills in:
- Cybersecurity
- Renewable Energy
- Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- Automation
Take Action: Leverage Government Programs
The CS urged trainees to take advantage of government funding programs such as:
- Hustler Fund
- Youth Enterprise Development Fund
These funds can help graduates start businesses and create jobs.
Women in Male-Dominated Fields
Ogamba also called for more women in male-dominated fields like Engineering and Technology.
“We must have women in male-dominated fields to achieve gender parity,” he said.
Conclusion
With CBET growth, the launch of Dual Training Policy, and push for gender equity, Kenya’s TVET sector is set to explosion. The government’s focus on practical skills development will ensure Kenyan youth remain relevant in the job market.
