Governor George Natembeya just dropped some amazing news for all you Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers in Trans Nzoia County! It’s time to break out the happy dance because 735 ECDE teachers are now hired on permanent and pensionable terms!
You know, these dedicated educators have been pushing for this for a while now, and Governor Natembeya listened and delivered! And that’s not all! The county has even more fantastic plans up its sleeve, with another 2,000 teachers set to be employed soon. Talk about building a dream team to nurture our little ones’ minds!
The governor hosted all the ECDE teachers from across the county at Showground Primary School, where he handed them their well-deserved employment letters. You should have seen the smiles on their faces; it was like a festival of joy! No more uncertainty, no more waiting; they’re now part of the permanent party!
Governor Natembeya understands the importance of treating our teachers right. He said, “Let’s give these amazing teachers a great working environment so they can take the best care of our precious children.” Preach, Governor, preach! We couldn’t agree more!
With this fantastic move, the county aims to improve remuneration and motivation for the teachers. And who doesn’t love being well-paid and motivated, right? It’s like adding sprinkles to an already delicious cupcake!
To top it off, the county has constructed 23 shiny new ECDE classrooms across all 25 wards. Now that’s what we call laying the foundation for bright futures! Governor Natembeya also made it clear that ECDE administration is back where it belongs, under the department of education and not under primary school heads. Makes perfect sense, doesn’t it?
But wait, there’s more! The county has decided to feed the little learners with milk, ensuring they grow up strong and healthy. And you know what they say, “A child with milk is a child with a bright smile!”
The governor, alongside his deputy Philomena Kapkory, even spilled the beans about building an ECDE teachers training college right in the county. Talk about taking education to a whole new level!
Trans Nzoia County Commissioner Gideon Oyagi was all praise for Governor Natembeya’s efforts in uplifting the teachers’ livelihoods. He said, “This is proof that devolution is working wonders, and we should all support the governor’s initiatives.” Absolutely, Commissioner Oyagi! Let’s all rally behind our education heroes!
And guess what? With the new terms, ECDE teachers with certificates will now get Sh24,500, diploma holders will dance their way to Sh28,940, and degree holders will celebrate with a Sh35,940 monthly salary! Cha-ching!
