KNEC has announced the 2025 KPSEA and KILEA registration period. Registration will start on Monday 27th January 2025 and end on 28th February 2025.
Registration Details
- Eligibility and Registration:
- All Grade 6 learners must register through KPSEA Registration Portal during the given period.
- Candidates must be registered learners from the respective schools presenting them.
- Any ghost candidate registration will be treated as assessment malpractice and the school will be de-registered as a KNEC assessment centre.
- Accurate Bio-data Submission:
- Schools must ensure candidate information is accurate. This includes:
- Names as per birth certificates.
- Gender, year of birth, and citizenship.
- Religious education options registered for.
- Corrections to bio-data must be done during registration period.
- Special Needs:
For candidates with special needs, the following must be indicated:
- Visual Impairment (VI): Braille for blind candidates.
- Low Vision (LP): Large print for candidates with low vision.
- Hearing Impairment (HI): Special arrangements for hearing impaired candidates.
- Assessment Number:
- KPSEA candidates without Assessment Number must first register in Grade 6 portal to get one.
- Assessment Number is mandatory for KPSEA registration.
- Once assigned, heads of institutions can register these learners.
- School-Based Assessment Scores:
- Heads of institutions must confirm that School-Based Assessment (SBA) scores for Grade 4 and 5 are uploaded for all KPSEA candidates.
- KILEA Registration:
- Learners following stage-based pathway will be registered for KILEA once their teachers confirm they are ready to sit for the assessment.
- Registration will be done through KILEA Registration Portal.
Consequences of Malpractice
KNEC has reiterated that it will not tolerate any form of malpractice during the registration process. Ghost candidate registration or providing false data will attract severe penalties including de-registration of the school as an assessment centre.
