The Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC) is offering diploma and certificate courses in the medical field specifically tailored for students who attained a grade of C- and below in the 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exam. List of Medical Courses for C- & Below Students:

1. Diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade with D+ in English or Kiswahili, Biology/Biological Sciences, and Chemistry/Physical Science. D in any one of the following subjects: Home Science, Agriculture, Mathematics, Physics, Physical Sciences, and General Science.
2. Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade. C- in any language and D in Biology. D- in Mathematics and D+ in any other examinable subject.
3. Certificate in Health Records and Information Technology (In Service Category):
   • Requirements: KCSE mean grade of D+ with D+ in English or Kiswahili and D- in Mathematics.
4. Certificate in Nutrition and Dietetics:
   • Requirements: D+ mean grade with similar grades in English or Kiswahili. D in Biology and either Chemistry or Physics.
5. Certificate in Medical Engineering:
   • Requirements: C- KCSE mean grade and C- in English or Kiswahili. D in Mathematics, D- in Physics, and D in any of the following: Chemistry, Biology/Biological Sciences, Electricity, Metal Work, Technical Drawing.
6. Certificate in Public Health:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade with a similar grade in any language. D+ in Biology and D in Mathematics. D in any of the following subjects: Home Science, Physics, Chemistry, Agriculture, Building Construction, Technical Drawing, Electricity, or Wood Work.
7. Certificate in Orthopedic Trauma Medicine:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade with C- in English or Kiswahili and Biology. D+ in Mathematics, Physics/Physical Science, Chemistry, Woodwork, Metalwork, Technical Drawing, Home Science, Agriculture, or Computer Studies.
8. Certificate in Community Health Nursing:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade with similar grades in English or Kiswahili and Biology. Proof of D+ in either Chemistry, Physics, or Mathematics.
9. Certificate in Community Health Assistant:
   • Requirements: C- mean grade with D+ in any mandatory language, D in Biology, and D in either Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics/Physical Sciences, Agriculture, or Home Science.
10. Certificate in Medical Emergency Technician:
    • Requirements: C- KCSE mean grade with no minimum requirement for subjects.

Expanding Horizons: Diploma in Mortuary Science:

In a progressive move, KMTC introduced a Diploma in Mortuary Science for students scoring C- and above in 2023.
