TSC teachers under AON Minet medical insurance have until 31st January 2025 to update their dependants list. This is for those who want to add or remove dependants under the scheme.
Who is a Dependant?
A dependant under the scheme means an immediate family member covered by the policy. These are:
- Spouse (husband or wife)
- Children (up to four children)
Children are covered up to 18 years (or 25 years if in school). But there is no age limit for children with disabilities.
How to Update Dependants
Teachers who want to change their dependant details must log in to AON Minet portal and upload the required documents:
Dependant Type | Required Documents |
---|---|
Spouse | Scanned copy of National ID and Marriage Certificate or Sworn Affidavit |
Children (below 6 months) | Scanned copy of Birth Notification |
Children (above 6 months) | Scanned copy of Birth Certificate |
If you don’t update dependants by 31st January 2025 the existing list will be used for the coverage period.
AON Minet for TSC Teachers
In January 2025, TSC renewed its contract with Minet Kenya Insurance Brokers Limited for another 2 years. This was after teachers were speculating to be moved to Social Health Authority (SHA). But Minet managed to negotiate an extension and teachers will not be moved.
