Bokoli Boys Defies a Tough Year, Records Impressive University Entry Results

Despite a tough year with student unrest and discipline issues, Bokoli Boys High School in Bungoma County has done well in the 2024 KCSE exams. 61 students scored C+ and above.

Speaking during the celebrations, Principal Joseph Mulongo who joined the school last year said the students worked hard and were resilient. He however said the school fell short of its mean score target of 7 due to indiscipline issues that disrupted learning in the third term.

“We didn’t reach our target but I am sure we will come back stronger,” said Mulongo.

Stakeholder Support for Improvement

In his speech, Mr. Mulongo appealed to parents, the community and education stakeholders to support the school administration in restoring discipline and improving performance. He outlined plans to strengthen mentorship programs and infrastructure to make Bokoli Boys a regional academic powerhouse.

The school hopes with renewed focus and cooperation it will overcome the past and do better in the next years.

Future is Bright

Although the school didn’t meet its targets, the number of university qualifiers has given students, teachers and parents a new lease of life. The administration will now rebuild the school’s image and ensure consistency.
