Cardinal Otunga Girls’ High School in Bungoma County has been ranked among the top schools in Kenya after impressive results in the 2024 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE.
The school scored a mean grade of 8.3641 (B-) and 95.63% university transition rate making it an extra county school. Out of the 412 students who sat for the exams 394 got C+ and above making a new record for the school.

Leadership Attributes Success to Hard Work and Discipline
Speaking on the school’s success Senior Principal Christine Sifuna said the results are a result of the hard work and discipline of the teachers, students and the support of the Board of Management (BoM).
“Our motto ‘Like Eagles, We Soar High’ has paid off. I am proud of our students and teachers for their hard work,” she said. She added that discipline and teamwork is key to the school’s academic success.
