Duties and Responsibilities of TSC Senior Teacher I and II (C2 & C3)

Senior Teacher II (C2) Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare Teaching Materials: Develop lesson plans, lesson notes, timetables, and schemes of work, ensuring coverage of the syllabus within the stipulated time.
  2. Teaching: Instruct learners in specialized subjects, imparting knowledge and skills required for their academic growth.
  3. Evaluation: Evaluate learners in subjects of specialization and adequately prepare them for national and other examinations.
  4. Innovative Teaching: Introduce new ideas and programs to enhance teaching and learning experiences in specialized subjects.
  5. Teamwork: Foster teamwork through collaborative planning and teaching, ensuring consistency and improvement in curriculum delivery.
  6. Discipline Maintenance: Serve as a role model, maintain learner discipline, and create a conducive environment for learning.
  7. Guidance and Counseling: Provide guidance and counseling services to learners, instilling norms and values for harmonious co-existence.
  8. Professional Development: Organize workshops, seminars, and symposiums to share ideas and enhance knowledge in specialized subject areas.
  9. Record Keeping: Collect, collate, and maintain school records such as enrollment, teaching resources, evaluation records, and attendance registers.
  10. Capacity Building: Organize school-based in-service programs to build teachers’ capacity for improved teaching and learning.
  11. Subject Panels: Organize school-based and zonal subject panels to facilitate the sharing of knowledge, innovations, and new trends.
  12. Gender Mainstreaming: Coordinate gender mainstreaming issues for teachers and learners in both curricular and co-curricular activities, ensuring gender equity.
  13. Disciplinary Committee: Serve as a secretary to the school disciplinary committee, handling disputes among learners.
  14. Cleanliness Supervision: Supervise the cleanliness of the school compound and ensure learners maintain tidiness.
  15. Remedial Actions: Organize remedial actions to support learners with performance gaps.

Senior Teacher I (C3) Duties and Responsibilities:
