Kisii School are the new rugby kings of Kisii County after a 34-0 thrashing of Cardinal Otunga Mosocho in the Term One KSSSA 15s Championship final.
The match played on Friday at Cardinal Otunga Mosocho grounds saw Kisii School dominate their opponents from start to finish and qualify for the KSSSA Nyanza Region competitions set to kick off in Migori.
Kisii School’s Path to Victory
Kisii School’s win was built on a series of impressive performances throughout the tournament. They started with a 52-0 win over Sameta, followed by a 72-0 thrashing of Rioma in the semis.
Notable players in the final were Hughes Ombasa who scored first and Matrix Matangi who sealed the win. Jackson Kengere and Christopher Jesse also played key roles in the championship win.
