A total of 20,000 Junior Secondary School (JSS) intern teachers who were recruited and posted in January are required to register on T-Pay.
Payment and Payslip Access
TSC has released February’s payment for teachers including January arrears. However, teachers couldn’t access their online payslips to verify payments and deductions. To address this, TSC has directed teachers to visit their respective County ICT officers to activate their T-Pay accounts and get login credentials for online payslip access.
Permanent and Pensionable Appointments
In recent recruitment, 1,645 JSS intern teachers got permanent and pensionable (PnP) appointments. This is after TSC advertised for 5,862 secondary school teaching positions. The appointed teachers have completed the necessary documentation and will get their school postings soon.
TSC will issue posting letters between mid-March and May after their internship contracts expire.
T-Pay Registration Changes
Previously, teachers could self-register on T-Pay to access their payslips. But TSC stopped this after reports of fraudulent activities. Now new users must register through TSC offices.
T-Pay Usage Guidelines and Security Measures
TSC has issued the following guidelines for teachers using T-Pay:
- Providing False Information: Teachers must not intentionally input incorrect details while accessing or using T-Pay.
- Data Integrity: Falsification, forgery or tampering with system information is strictly prohibited.
- Privacy Assurance: TSC will not sell, rent or share personal details (name, address or phone number) for marketing or mailing list purposes without the teacher’s consent.
- Data Disclosure: Pay information will only be disclosed for transactions involving third parties (e.g. loans or shares) with the teacher’s permission or as required by law.
- Password Security: Teachers must keep their unique identifiers (TSC number, National ID, username and password) confidential. If unauthorized access is suspected, they should change their password immediately or seek assistance from the nearest TSC office or email tpaysupport@tsc.go.ke.
TSC reminds all transactions on T-Pay are teacher initiated and secure mechanisms are in place for data exchange. Teachers should not share their login credentials to prevent unauthorized access and misuse of their personal information.Email tpaysupport@tsc.go.ke
